What changed for Singapore grants in 2026

Last updated 23 Oct 2026.

The biggest change is the EDGE Grant. Since 30 Sep 2026, new applications go to EDGE instead of the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) and Market Readiness Assistance (MRA). Applications submitted before that date continue under the old scheme.

Deadlines and new schemes

Budget 2025 extended the current SFEC (originally due to expire June 2025) until the redesigned SFEC is ready. SWDA memo of 17 Apr 2026: current SFEC support ends 30 Nov 2026, unused credits expire 1 Dec 2026, and the old claim system shuts on 1 Aug 2027. SSG and WSG merged into SWDA on 1 Jul 2026.

Announced at Budget 2025 (EWTP, over $400 million). The EWTP FAQ (updated Aug 2026) confirms launch on 1 Dec 2026, online wallet, upfront offset, and no application needed. Detailed eligibility rules and offset levels for each programme were still marked 'more information soon' on OurWorkforce in Oct 2026.
